It stinks to feel like you’ve blown it. 

If you’re introducing yourself in person or in DMs as: “Hi. Would you like to buy my service? …then you’re blowing it. 

Money is left on the table. 

That prospect won’t buy. It’s that simple.

I made this mistake….I used to click Accept Invite and then fire back an automated message that basically said, Thanks for connecting. I’d love to work with you. Do you have business to send my way?

Guess how many people had business to send my way.

None. It doesn’t work.

Here’s the cure.

Conversions happen in conversation.

Nobody wants to be pitched or sold.

People buy people [so to speak].

Your goal is to meet someone, tell them how you solve problems and LISTEN to their struggles.

Instead of thinking of what to say next, actively listen.

What do they do

What’s their ask

What can you do to help them

Then, follow up with them afterward

Not only will you gain clients from the people you meet, but they will also share what you do with their network!

Keep this up over the long term and you’ll have broken free from the up and down sales roller coaster.
